FOR INDIVIDUALS

Personal counselling

Counsellor Jo Joustra aims to take the stress out of therapy by tailoring her approach to suit each person’s individual needs. She is friendly and non-judgmental, with over 25-years’ experience working with people to develop mindfulness-based skills that increase self-awareness and improve relationships.

It is not unusual for Jo’s clients to feel increased wellbeing within the first few weeks of commencing counselling. She achieves these outcomes by listening, validating and gently encouraging her clients to practise new strategies and take effective actions to build the life they want.

Relationship counselling enables couples to safely express themselves to each other, identify and explore issues, and agree upon achievable goals together.

Jo aims to support couples in improving communication, understanding each other’s perspectives, managing personal stress, and building on individual and shared strengths.

Relationship counselling may also suit individuals trying to better understand themselves within their relationship.

People grieving the end of a relationship or struggling with dating may also benefit from counselling.
